I was the family's Nanny in 1978. I loved working, living, and being a part of the family for the summer. Tom was always very kind to me and I remember him being a wonderful father, husband, and friend. I send my deepest sympathies to Barbara and family.

Dear Filippini Family, I am so sorry to hear about Tom's passing. I just heard about this sad news. Tom was a wonderful manager. I worked for Thilman & Filippini in the late 1980's / early 1990's and it was one of the best places I have ever worked. It was such an honor to work for Tom Filippini and I know he is in a better place now. My thoughts and prayers are with you. God Bless.

I just learned of Tom's passing while reading the Bradley Hilltopics publication. Tom and I were classmates at Bradley University in the early 1960s. Although we were not close friends, I knew enough about him to know about his character and warm personality. Post college, we also had in common residences along the North Shore suburbs of Chicago. My condolences to this family.

Dear Barb and Family,
I am so sorry to hear about Tom. I have known Tom professionally for more than 30 years. I was shocked today to hear what happened from Andy C. While I didn't know Tom socially, he was always friendly and great to work with. He was always proud of the successes of his children, they had great role models.
With Deepest Sympathy

Family of Tom
My sincere apologies for your loss. May you find comfort in the knowledge that Tom was a humble, kind, caring soul who did not allow for nor see (perceived) class limitations and who was always ready with a smile. As an employer, he expected truth and responsibility and he lead in such a way to help foster leadership in ourselves. He was a wonderful mentor and demonstrated much patience. If only there were more people like him he will be sorely missed.
