Dear family, I met Rhea when we were both in grad school at Northwestern. We went on to pursue doctorates, and chose different paths to follow for our doctorates. However, whenever we ran into each other at the grocery store or theater, we always vowed to try to get together in the near future. But life intervened as it often does and, sadly, we never found the time. I am so very sorry to read that this very bright and lively woman has passed on and send you my deepest condolences. I regret that I will be unable to attend the service on Sunday, as I will be out of town. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Rhea was a remarkable woman of great intelligence and wit, and a joy to work with. She added so much to Still Acting Up in the years she was a member, and I admired her enormously. Funny, honest and brave, she was a spark that lit up the stage and my life.
With affection and sadness, Jill Shellabarger Mueller
