I met Rich about 50 years ago at volleyball in Lincoln Park. Over the next 50 years we became great friends. Rich had an interest in everything from volleyball, bike riding, Butch McGuires, Lake Shore Ski Club, of course Opera, the Arts, Ravinia and so much more. But Rich's biggest interest was People. He was a good friend who brought life and happiness to all who knew him. He enriched my life and the life of my family. Thanks for the good times Rich. The memories will linger on forever.

I first met Rich about 50 years ago at volleyball in Lincoln Park. He was a Man of many talents and interests. He loved volleyball, bike riding, Scrabble, Opera, Symphony, Ravinia and so much more. But most of all he loved people. He was a true and trusted friend. He would lift your spirit and make your day with his warmth and humor. A good friend is now gone. The memories of the happy times will linger on. Peace be with you my friend.

Remembering Birthday Celebrations, many Christmas Dinners at our house, LakeShore Ski Club gatherings and travels...A very memorable trip to Ireland and Wales...While in Wales we spent time with Richard's childhood friend, Connie, her husband, his brother, and his sister-in-law enjoying their great hospitality...And never to be overlooked are the many, many Lyric Opera Performances Larry and I attend as Richard's guests...So much else comes to mind from a long time friendship..REST IN PEACE

Rich's companionship, wit, and wisdom shall be greatly missed by many. He was a friend of 55 years and a most interesting person that made the Arts in Chicago a worthwhile experience. His reviews of the Opera scene for several publications were always accurate and well received by readers. Bless you Rich may you rest in peace with the Wagnerion Gods and the many great singers we witnessed in Chicago.
