I knew Roberta when she and I worked at the Akzo McCook facility! She worked in HR at the time and I remember when hired permanently, she had requested a copy of my green card. I procrastinated to the point she called me into her office and told me to go home and not return without it.....
She was stern but had a warm personality that obvious to all!
We were both smokers and often chatted outside when our breaks
aligned...
She was a wonderful person and she will always come to mind when we talk about the good old days at Akzo.

My wife Elizabeth and I worked with Roberta in the late '80's at AKZO Chemicals. Roberta and I arrived at the office early and discussed the topics of the day over coffee and our Wall Street Journals. She was a wonderful woman and brought a sense of humor to work. She shared her wealth of business experiences and acumen which made us better people. I was young then and still use some of her management ideas today.
Please accept our sincere condolences for your loss.

Roberta was my first boss when I came to work at Armak Chemical. She had a thorough understanding of the business and exhibited great character and humor in the Sales and Marketing Department. She had the right attitude in serving others. I had the good fortune of speaking with her by phone just a few months ago.
