RIP, Scotty
January 27, 2018
My deepest sympathy to all of Scotty's family. I met Scotty when he moved to Barcelona and we always kept in touch. He was the kind of guy you loved to see walk into a room. He was one of the most generous people I've ever known. And he always had such a positive, laid-back attitude. You always felt better after spending some time with Scotty. It is hard to grasp that he is no longer with us, but I will forever remember his great big, warm and wonderful heart and all the fun times we shared.

About thirty years ago the girl who lived next door to me in Barcelona told me about an American that she had met...it was Scotty...when I met him he was listening and dancing to Flamenco music...And speaking Spanish with this wild southern Spanish accent...I lost contact more or less with him when he moved out of Barcelona, but every year on the 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas we would exchange texts...the last time I heard from him was Christmas Day...I was waiting for the train to take me to a dinner at a friend's house and I texted him...Three days later he was gone...Scotty was the kind of person that made the world worth living in...He was generous and always had a goofy smile on his face...Everyone who met him liked him instantly...The world is a much poorer place without him, and even though I didn't see him very often, I will miss him greatly.

So shocked and saddened to hear about Scotty's passing. I will always remember jumping off the pier and hanging out on the raft in Williams Bay! Give my cousin, Martin, a big hug for me, Scotty.❤
Love, Julie
