As one who suffered through a similar neurological disease (watching my mother go through Alzheimer's) I have some idea of what you went through and you have my most sincere sympathy and condolences. Neither Stan nor my mom deserved to go that way but God's will be done and from what I have heard he led an exemplary life and his soul is safe in heaven. As young teenagers we used to see Stan, from time to time, visiting a neighbor on our block, on Clarence Avenue in Berwyn. He always said 'Hi' to us and we felt honored. His illustrious career speaks for itself - what a great athlete and it was a pleasure to watch him play! Stan will always be remembered and he, and the family, will be in my prayers.

During this time of great sorrow and pain, know that you are not alone. May God give your family strength and comfort to help you endure this time of loss. As you remember your beloved one, may our Father, the God of peace, give you comfort and peace in every way today, tomorrow, and always. Please accept my sincere condolences. 2nd Thess. 3:16
