I cannot believe it has been 6 years. Just last weekend, I was surrounded by your closest friends for another Memorial service. You still got it, Tom. They all have fond and loving memories of you. As for me, I still and always will love you. I continue to find little things around our home that bring a smile to my face and touch my heart. I cannot wrap my mind that you are doing a RIP but rather that you are on some great adventure. Always, my love.

I have so many fond memories of all my uncles, but Uncle Tom in my eyes was the most glamorous. I remember all of our New Year's Day parties and how Uncle Tom would always show up in a fancy car. I remember one New Year's Day in particular, I was out playing with my friends and Uncle Tom showed up in a cool sports car. My friends were so impressed with his cool car. They asked me if he was rich and of course I said yes. I remember thinking I was so lucky to have such a cool uncle.
Love and miss you dearly Uncle Tom, Uncle Joe, Uncle Bill and most of all my Dad and Mom
Love Always,
Colleen

Although our family (immediate and extended) lives on in thoughts and memories, I truly miss my days as a child when, at least in my mind, we were whole. I loved hanging out with my brothers and sisters, and all the cousins, and aunts and uncles. Especially during the holiday's things were so crazy and hectic but being with family was fun.
Recalling these thoughts through the lens of pre-teen and into my teenage years, Uncle Tom, who is my Godfather, was a bit like Batman to me. Despite being my Godfather, I never knew too much about his personal life and he always seemed to slip in and out of gatherings. He was a bit of a mystery to me.
I do recall that his gift-giving skills were somewhat on the more practical side. As I can recollect, I'd usually leave the gathering with some article of clothing typically a shirt. I often wondered if he had Alfred pick it out for him (pre-Amazon days).
When Tom passed, this life goes round-and-round thing really hit me, since that only left my aunt Nancy as the last of my dad's siblings still living. Even as an adult, I didn't know my uncle as well as I could have but I do know that he had a kind heart and an impeccably groomed mustache.
As is the case with all the family members that have left this earth, we love you, we miss you, and you live on in our hearts and spirit forever. And we'll all be together again someday.
