I am so saddened to hear the news that my beloved doctor passed. This was a GREAT man, doctor, and family member to me and my family. Dr. Kionis was such a huge help to my family accessing healthcare. I remember growing up, my mother, as a single mom, couldn't afford all the copays for 5 children and Dr. Kionis was so loving, seeing us anyway. In fact, at 26 now, and at moments well into adulthood when as a college student, I couldn't afford healthcare - from all the way in D.C. - I knew I could call on him and he'd be right there to help. He'd listen to my ailments, provide advise, soothe my panic (you know how it is when you're just young enough not to know what's going on with your body but just old enough that visits with mommy are no longer a thing), and he'd even provide prescriptions from out of state. From all the way over here in D.C. and grown, I still considered him my primary physician. Dr. Kionis I hope you rest easy, I pray you finally have peace. And to Dr. Kionis' family, my prayers and love go to you.
