There will never be another like him. He believed in God, the miracle of life, and he believed in his patients. I will always be so grateful that I found Dr. Matviuw in time for my last two children to be delivered by him. He sat with me in the labor room the entire time with both of them. He was the only Doctor in Illinois that would attempt a VBAC back in 1983 and was well worth the hour travel time to get to his office. He was a beacon of light, confidence and hope to me. I'll never forget him.

I am stunned. My Doctor, colleague and dear friend. I was going to call you for the holidays. I somehow ended up here. May you R.I.P. .....such a wonderful man.
Marge, Paul, Mary and Rosemary, my condolences.

Dr. Matviuw delivered both my children (1979 & 1983). He was a wonderful supportive doctor. My condolences to his family.

Rest in peace Dr Matviuw. You were my doctor from 1973 and delivered my three children. I am extremely grateful for your kindness and thoughtfulness with each one especially my last. You and you alone talked my husband into the delivery room. I am very honored to have known you.
