A genuine and refreshing character, who was dearly loved and will surely be missed.

My condolences to Sandy, Gary's children and all the family. I was so sorry to hear of Gary's death. We were good friends and neighbors growing up and graduated in the same class. I always will remember him as a kind and gentle soul.

I just had a chance to open up my computer and found a long time family friend, GaryVanHooser smiling back at me like he always did.
Gary's family and my family were best of friends in little town of Kinnikinnick. Once in while we would see each other on the street. You will be much missed Gary, but I do have a lot of good memories.
As always, Jo Ann (Bell) Brooks

My Uncle Gary was one of the most loving, gentle, sweetest people I have had the chance to know. I wish I had called him the many times I thought about it. Life is just too short.
My condolences go out to his family and every one who knew him.
He was one great man.
We shall meet again.
