 Memories & Condolences
This Guest Book will remain online permanently courtesy of John and Martie's loving nephew, Hal Stockbridge, in deep gratitude to the whole Stockbridge family.

My love and sympathy to the boys.

I remember Marty telling us once over crabs hat Uncle John was the man who "brought her out". I've always remembered that as one reason she loved him though it's hard for me to picture her shy. I loved them both.
Jenny Crocker Killgallon, a neice

Since their roots were in Baltimore, Crab Heaven, John and Martie would visit my wife Jenny (their niece) and me (Jenny's husband), and the four of us would enjoy each other's company AND steamed crabs or crab cakes. Those memories of John and Marti are fond and indelible because of their warmth, laughter, and goodness. There's a song that says, "In heaven there is no beer. That's why we drink it here!" Bet, though, for John and Marti in heaven there are crab feasts, and so much more.

This is Sue Mo. Former employee of Coast to Coast Hardware Store, Chillicothe, Ohio. My first job was with John & Martie at Coast to Coast. Instead of learning what the world of work was like, I became part of the Stockbridge Family. Although I went on to a career in teaching, John, Martie, Bill, and Mad saw in me a future in retail sales. As I consider retirement soon, I may be entering retail sales, I learned from the best, the Stockbridge Family. I am keeping all of you in my prayers.
