He was born January 19, 1928, in Cleveland, to the late Reuben Sr. and Earnestine Pearson.

On May 1, 1953, he married Helen L. Pearson, who preceded him in death on July 30, 2006. Also preceding him is their son, Reuben (Clifford Lee) Pearson III, and a dear brother and sister-in-law, Bob and JoAnn Evans.

Surviving are his daughters, Margaret (Arnold) Pearson Brown Thomas, and Barbara Kay Holmes, both of Chillicothe, Patricia Miles, of Cleveland, and Cathleen Pearson, of Kent; his grandchildren, Cherice Brown, Keisha Brown, Natasha Pearson, Aurora Pearson, Natika Pearson, Rochelle Miles, Furman Eric Miles, Andre Miles, and Reuben Pearson IV; nieces, Susan Evans and Lydia Evans; and a host of great-grandchildren, as well as great-great-grandchildren. His son-in-law, Rev. Arnold Thomas Sr. was his dearest friend.

Mr. Pearson graduated from East Technical High School and after several positions in the industry, he became a renowned electrician at Ford Motors Walton Hills Stamping Plant. He travelled extensively with his wife, and along with her, was founder and organizer of Operation Desert Storm Veterans' Support Group in Cleveland 1989. He was a past member of Ross County Senior Citizens Center and found style and fellowship at Mr. Lee's Barber Shop in Chillicothe. He had an easy going spirit and was loved by many. His life made the world a better place and he will be missed by many in every generation.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Arnold Thomas Sr., officiating. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 1:00pm until the time of the service on Wednesday.

Dear Pearson family,

Please accept my most sincere condolences. Our families were very close once upon a time and I have very fond memories of our shared family events. Our fathers went to school together and even worked together. I remember your dad as a smiling "gentle giant". Continue his legacy and I will remember you prayer.

[On half of my father, Stewart Hawthorne and family.]
