Linda Marie (McNeely) Cummins
ASHVILLE: Linda Marie (McNeely) Cummins, age 69, of Ashville, passed away at Riverside Hospital on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017. She was born on May 24, 1947 in Columbus, OH to the late Harold and Florence McNeely (Grauman) of Marysville. Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years Michael Lon Cummins in 2007.
She is survived by her daughters; Beth (Jeff) Allen, Cheri Cummins (Steve Collopy), and Michelle "Missy" (Jeff) Stiver all of Ashville; grandchildren; Sydney and Samual Allen, John and Maddex Stiver; sister Virginia (Russ) Miller of Marysville, OH; and many dear friends and extended family.
Linda was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 730, the Ashville Heritage Society, the Pickaway County Historical Society, the Mayflower Descendants Society, and the Pickaway Plains DAR. Linda was also a member of the First English Lutheran Church of Ashville, and a 4-H Advisor for 23 years.
Linda had many passions including traveling, sewing, genealogy, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering. She was best known for her devotion to her work at the Ashville Food Pantry where she had served as Director since 2008.
Family will receive friends from Friday 5-8 p.m., Jan. 27, 2017 at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, OH. The Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at First English Lutheran Church, 94 Long St. Ashville, OH 43103, with Pastor Joe Wolf officiating. Interment will follow in Harrison Twp. Cemetery, South Bloomfield, OH.
