Rachel had so many talents and shared each one with everyone who was blessed to know her. My prayers go out to the family.

Rachel was one of our favorite customers in the Instrumental Department at Stanton's Sheet Music. A customer since 1959, she was truly a standout educator among the many great teachers in the state.

On a personal note, we had hardly ever talked about music when she came in! The stories of her world travels were always fascinating and made me want to go to all of those destinations.

You'll be very missed, Rachel! Much sympathy to you and your family, Tom.

The last time I spoke to Mrs. Martin, she instructed me that once she passes, it should be declared that she died unexpectedly and with only a few minor carcass repairs! She told me she will always have plans. I believe it! As a student, I remember telling her that I would have her for sophomore English. She smiled and asked, "Will you have me or will I have you?" Always unforgettable! My condolences go to her family and friends. And to Heaven, watch out! She has plans!

Rest In Peace dear friend. Without a doubt the best teacher ever!!!! So many memories with you....English, chorus, bells, violin and the symphonies that we shared. And those paper clips!! One of our last conversations was about the hallelujah chorus!! You always liked to remind me how you gave me the music in September and I said...really? We won't sing that until December! Of course the joke was on me!!! I will miss you so much....
