Loetta Ross Legg
WAVERLY: Loetta Ross Legg of Straight Creek Road, Waverly Ohio departed this life on April, 12, 2016.
She was born November 25, 1928, in Flat Gap, KY, the daughter of Mitchell E. Ross and Esta Boggs Evans Ross. On June 7, 1947, Loetta was united in marriage to Raymond Eldon Legg, the love of her life; he preceded her in death on June 7, 2007.
Surviving one son Keith E. Legg and his wife Christine of Waverly. One granddaughter, Kelly A Legg Troiano and husband Tony of Grove City, Ohio, one brother Mitchell Darrell Ross and wife Girldon of Waverly, one sister-in-law Lorraine Brown Ross of Lima, Ohio. In addition to her parents and husband, Loetta was preceded in death by four brothers, Harry Ray Ross, his wife Tera, Lionel "Jake" Evans, his wife Irene, Gerald Evans and Denzel Ross. Three sisters, Dorothy Ross Williams, her husband Hood, W. Alice Ross Fyffe, her husband Harold and Ilene Ross Blaum, her husband Malcom.
Loetta was a member of the Omega Church of Christ in Christian Union, former Treasurer for twenty years and Sunday School teacher for as many years. A graduate of Waverly High School class of 1947. An officer in the Waverly Athletic Boosters Club for many years
A Business Accounts Representative for General Telephone Company for 43 years and Office Manager for United States Energy Corp (USEC) Piketon for 10 years.
Loetta loved traveling, photography and sewing. She loved spending time with her family; they always came first. Kelly, her granddaughter was the pride and joy of her life.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday 16 April 2016 at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME, Waverly with Rev. David Roosa and Rev. Jared McKinney, officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery. Piketon, Ohio
Family will receive friends at the Boyer Funeral Home from 5 - 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday.

i had the pleasure of knowing Loetta from working at USEC. She was a lovely person and enjoyed eating many lunches with her. She will be sadly missed by many friends and family.
