I wss one of the Catherine Street boys . I remember quite clearly the garage with its wood stove and weight racks . My friends,,,Wayne..Mike.. Tim..Walter..Bob.. would walk by my house at 600 Catherine Steet and get me after supper .. we would walk to Bruno's house .. meet Bruno in the garage and lift weights for two hours.. wood stove blazing... What a wonderful experience !!!!
Bruno would talk to us .. guide us and help us as we worked out with his weights . He would enter us into competitions at the old YMCA building by the Gardens ,.. we were very excited to compete and to try and make Bruno proud ... It was a wonderful bonding experience for all of us ... something that I did not appreciate then but time and my own life experiences have shown me what an enormous impact he had on my life .
Thank you Bruno from all of us boys on Catherine Street .. you will be missed sir ... thank you again

You were there for me when my Dad was taken so early...you were there for all of us. Th smell of rubber belting and chalk...the "slicks" bouncing on the 24 base....you pointed us in a good direction. Thanks Bruno. Jae
