A service of remembrance will be held for Dr Brian Joseph Moraghan, age 77, lately of Beverly Hills, Florida.
The service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 10th 2021 at the Beverly Hills Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes.
Brian was born in Lithgow, Australia on May 27th, 1943 son of Robert Moraghan and Kathleen (Coady) Moraghan and died on April 5th, 2021 in Gainesville Florida. Brian spent most of his childhood in Brighton-le Sands, outside Sydney. At the age of 13 or 14, tennis became his passion and was for many years. He was an excellent player. He graduated from Sydney University. He studied agronomy. He was still in contact with many who were in his year at university and attend the Ag reunions whenever possible.
Brian came to the United States to do his PhD. He was a very successful plant breeder and loved his job. Later, he started his own little company with his wife and did extensive traveling in the far east and traveled to Thailand about 30 times over the next 10 or more years. He loved reading and transferred his passion for tennis to table tennis in the last few years. Brian was a great and honorable man, loved and respected by his colleagues, and adored by his wife of 20 years, Pamela.
Brian is preceded in death by his Mother, Father and all his siblings. Brian is is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Tressillian, sons Benjamin and loved Joshua Moraghan and by grandchildren. He is also survived by stepsons and a daughter in law who loved him greatly and step grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved him.

I was so fortunate to have met Brian through his beloved son Ben. He was a fascinating, interesting and well-spoken man...with a lovely accent! Although it has been many years, I extend my sympathies to his beloved children and family.
