Mrs. Madeline Engelman, age 86 years, of Homosassa, Florida, died Saturday, April 10, 2021 in Crystal River, FL.
She was born November 10, 1934 in Rochester, NY, daughter of Oliver and Mary (Yahn) Hudon. She moved to Homosassa, Florida from Damascus, MD in 1992. Mrs. Engelman was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Homosassa; a volunteer at Ellie Schiller State Park, Homosassa with her husband from 1994-2002; and a Cancer Survivor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William R. Engelman, a son, William H. Engelman, and a brother, Carl Hudon. Survivors include son, James H. (Brenda) Engelman of Hudson, NC, daughter, Elizabeth (John) Cochran of Thurmont, MD, 2 sisters: Sister M. Oliver Hudon S.S.N.D., and Rosa Feller, 5 Grandchildren, James, Jr, Ashton, Samantha, Jacob, and Emma; and 7 Great Grandchildren, Gaby, Andrew, Isaiah, Oliver, Aubrey, Elijah, and Wyatt.
Friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Mission in Citrus, Inc., Homeless Veterans Coalition, 2488 North Pennsylvania Ave, Crystal River FL 34429. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.HooperFuneralHome.com. Committal services will be announced later in May. Arrangements by the Homosassa Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes Crematory.

Madeline & Bill were our friends for over 20 years here in Citrus County.
I volunteered with them at AARP Tax Aid. Madeline and Bill stood up for
us when we renewed our vows. Madeline and I kept in touch with almost daily emails. She had the greatest smile that could light up a room. I will miss you girlfriend.
