I always knew he and Aunt Barb cared about me. They were always welcoming and supportive. I will always remember their great devotion and love for each other.

I quite especially enjoyed our conversations at the family apple butter celebrations as we stirred and stirred around the fire. Doug's soft humor was always evident and he made my heart happy . My condolences to my dear friend, Barb, and their lovely family. Hoping to visit you in a few weeks.

Doug was a gentle giant...always ready with a hand to help or an ear to listen. He will be missed by all of us that knew him. Since we did know him, he won't be forgotten. Our prayers and condolences are with his family at this difficult time.

My thoughts are with all of the Dean family in this time. Doug was one of the kindest gentlemen I ever met. He will be missed. Terry Gilkey
