Bradford
Donald C. died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, November 29th, 2017 in Cumming, Georgia at the age of 91. Don is survived by his wife, Ruth (Volz) Bradford of Cumming, Georgia, stepchildren James Jackson of Dawsonville, Georgia, Sandra Meyers of Dunedin, Florida and Kimberly Jackson of Fort Collins, Colorado, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dale C. Bradford; mother Geraldine Donham and stepfather, Lloyd Donham. Don was born on April 25th, 1926 in Hamilton, Ohio. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps, where he served bravely and honorably in the Pacific during World War II. He married Ruth, his beloved wife, on August 23rd, 1968. Don worked for General Motors for 30 years at Fisher Body in Hamilton, retiring in 1978. His family remembers him as a devoted husband and dedicated father and grandfather. Don was fond of the various Cadillac's he owned over the years, and enjoyed vacationing in Florida with his family every year. He embraced the simple things in life, like smoking his cigar on the back porch, or watching the Cincinnati Reds game in the afternoon. Services will be held on March 9, 2018 at 11am at Georgia National Military Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org. The family would like to thank the caregivers at the Oaks at Hampton in Cumming, Georgia for their dedication and the kindness they showed Don in his final years. I dont know what to say except that i love you. I cant understand exactly how you feel, but God does and will keep raising you up. I hope that our prayers will help a little. I understand times like this can be full of anxieties and stress but remeber god is a God of comfort. 1pet5:7 says you can throw your burdens on him because he cares and he will sustain you. I hope this helps with your loss.
