Oxford Redmond NcNeill
Cincinnati - Oxford Redmond "Red" McNeill, age 86, died peacefully in his sleep on September 17, 2018. Red was loved beyond imagining by his wife, Leslie, his children Sarah, Erin, Saunie and Benn and his grandchildren Zoe, Ninian, Maxx, Quinn and Nell. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Erin McNeill and his parents Oxford Douglas and Ruth Sweeny McNeill. Red was proud of his Canadian heritage and was a graduate of the University of Toronto Medical School. Red and Les met during his residency at Christ Hospital and he remained in Cincinnati where he practiced as an Orthopedic surgeon for 31 years. He will be dearly missed for his intellectual curiosity, creative mind, sense of humor and passion for life. Nobody told a joke the way Red did. His memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11 AM at The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 2944 Erie Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45208. Memorial donations may be directed to the Women's Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, 200 W 4th St. Cincinnati, OH 45202 or the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, 3400 Vine St. Cincinnati, OH 45220.
