Carol Jane Clevenger Vandernick Patzfahl

Asheville - Carol Jane Clevenger Vandernick Patzfahl, age seventy-five, died December 29, 2020, at her home in Asheville, North Carolina.

Carol was born to Rosalind Mondora Skaggs and Charles Russell Clevenger in Mentor, Ohio, on January 28, 1945. She was affiliated with the United Methodist Church.

Carol is survived by Richard Patzfahl, her husband of forty-one years; her children, Daniel Dushawn Vandernick and Jeffrey Shane Vandernick, both of Asheville, North Carolina; her brother, Larry Clevenger of Hatboro, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Daniel D. Vandernick II of Asheville, North Carolina, Brooke Powers of Brevard, North Carolina, and Cheyanna Matthews of Asheville, North Carolina; and great-grandchildren, Sherry Taylor Vandernick and Kristen Lee Vandernick, both of Enka, North Carolina, and Levi Powers of Brevard, North Carolina.

Carol's family extends sincere thanks to the Messino Cancer Center.

Dick, Shawn, Shane and other family members, We were truly saddened to hear of Carol's passing. Although we have not been in touch for many years , we have talked and thought about you all many times. Carol was a wonderful person and surely she is with our Lord now.
