Dan and Stephanie, Joy and I played together as children and spent time together as preteens and young adults. I was so sorry to hear of her passing. I know you will miss her greatly. Although we didn't keep in touch after she moved to North Carolina,I thought of her many times. Joys dad and my mother were siblings.

Joy was a great colleague whose passion for children carried through everything she did. Her contributions will live on.

As many have said, Joy was truly a shinning light. She spent her life showing her love and concern for others, especially children. Those of us who had the opportunity to work with Joy will always remember her for her smile, her laugh, and for how she loved visiting her colleagues in county DSS agencies across the Western North Carolina. May God bless those who she loved the most, Dan and Stephanie. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.
