He was an inspiration to me. He was my saxophone teacher in high school. Because of him I am still playing music for a living and following my dreams.

I'm so sad to hear of the death of this outstanding human and mentor. Lloyd taught my study skills class at A-B Tech. His passion and enthusiasm for education was unmatched. He advocated for me to go to Valladolid, México as a representative of A-B Tech as part of the Sister Cities program. Sometimes I would visit him in his office where his love for his family was made apparent by all the photographs and gifts. I have never forgotten his kindness. My condolences to his family and friends. I'm sure I speak on behalf of hundreds of his students when I say he was a beaming ray of inspiration and motivation. He will certainly be missed.

I didn't know Lloyd well but never had an exchange that didn't make me feel better for having had it. A wonderful teacher, brilliant musician, and fine person. My condolences to his family.
