As a small child, I remember Peggy and Jack Peek lived across the street from my family (Paul and Mildred Wofford). I would stay with her on occasion when my mother would visit my father in the VA Hospital. When the Peeks moved my parents bought their home. Pam was a very small girl then. Cute as could be. When my family attended the graduation of my cousin (Charleston Southern University, formally Baptist College Charleston) we saw Pam in the procession as a faculty member (I believe). My mother very much enjoyed that privilege and recalled pleasant memories of friendship with the Peek family. I recall seeing Peggy after my college days at a friend's home as she was delivering phone directories in the St. Andrews area. I was fortunate to have that pleasant surprise. I had that opportunity again upon the passing of my mother in 2015. It was so good to see Peggy and she provided me with much comfort in recalling her friendship with my mother. She was a fine lady and one of the sweetest and most kind spirited women I know. I know she loved her family dearly. The fondest memory of mine was a time when she kept me. Peggy put me down for a nap and placed a kiss on my cheek. I remember the softness of her sweet face. My thoughts and prayers are with the family of this precious lady. I ask God to bless this family in the days ahead.
Sincerely,
Carol Wofford

My prayers are with you Jack. Peggy was certainly the Proverbs 31 woman. I will always remember sweet Peggy's Italian cream cakes brought to the office at Southern Bell.
