Bob Owensby
Asheville - Bob Owensby, 87, of Asheville, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the son of the late Reynolds and June Owensby. Mr. Owensby was a graduate of the former Lee Edwards High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Unilever after 32 years as a sales manager. After retirement, he returned home to his beloved mountains.
Mr. Owensby is survived by his wife, Gena Jones Owensby; son, Gary Owensby, of Cranberry, PA; daughters, Karen Flanigan, of Pewee Valley, KY, Julie Tolleson, of Waxahachie, TX, Lisa Ayala, of Forney, TX; and six beautiful grandchildren.
A service will be held in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
