Papaw was a great Christian man. Anything he could do to help he was always willing. He helped me and all of our family with so many things both physically and spiritually. He will be missed but never forgotten.

Mr. Bartlett was an angel on this earth. He was truly an inspiration to all that came to know him. I admired him greatly and I know he is rejoicing in heaven.

My dad meant so much to his family. The short little obituary that we put together doesn't scratch the surface of who he was.
He loved Jesus. He prayed constantly. Mostly for his family.
He had a great sense of humor. He could sing.
He was a veteran of the US Navy and the Naval Reserves.
He was a Deacon at Grove Stone Baptist Church.
He retired from Otis Elevator Co, and the NC Department of Labor.
He loved to work. He taught me to work and instilled confidence in me that has served me well all of my life.
He always had a major project going on. He never saw a house that he didn't want to rebuild or remodel in his spare time.
He really loved to trade automobiles. I think that he has owned one of each kind.

I am so glad that God let him live to see a great grandson who can carry on the family.
These are just a few of the things that I remember and that I love about the man.
I look forward to seeing him again in Heaven.
