We have been thinking of you, Suzanne, and all your family. It has been so good to read the wonderful obituary of your Father. He was a fine man, and clearly engendered great respect and affection in everyone who met him. I am sorry that I never did. But what a good life, and you must be very proud to be his daughter. We send you our sincerest condolences and our love. Emma - and James, Benjamin and Arthur

Ray and Suzanne - We are so saddened to hear the news of your Dad's passing. Worked for ten years alongside Norman in the Black Mountain Regional Office - learned a lot about the State survey process and about life during that time. Will miss his wit, humor and wealth of knowledge. My sincere sympathy to you and your families.

Dear Suzanne and Ray and family, My deepest sympathy to you. When I was growing up Norman was the cool uncle with a Jack Kerouac streak...hoboing, skiing barefoot and reciting Ozymandias in swim trunks. A good man and a good family. I'll miss him truly.
