General Bunting was always a leader, a man of action and inspiration to those who served with him.

I met Al Bunting when he was a new first lieutenant and I was an ROTC graduate. When I was commissioned, he became my supervisor. He was a superb officer; everyone who worked for and with him learned more about military management than was ever taught in Air Force schools, including the top-level ones. He was an innovator and a team player, with a sense of humor and a sense of proportion, His death is a great loss to all of us -- family, friends, colleagues, and the Air Force he served so faithfully. I wish for Al what we all seek: Blue Skies. Ernest Adelman, Brig Gen, USAF, Retired
