Harold Benton Ingram

Gallman - Harold Benton Ingram, 71, went to his eternal home on Wednesday February 17, 2021 at St. Dominic Hospital. Services will be held on Tuesday February 23 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 9:00 am all at The Way Church located at 498 Northshore Pkwy, Brandon, MS 39047.

Mr. Ingram was born in Jackson November 2, 1949, the son of the late Kyle and Oletta Ingram. He graduated from Mississippi State University where he received his masters in business which led to starting his own business. After 13 years working in data programming, he started PerforMax Medical Management in 1987. He earned many awards both nationally and locally for his outstanding work in medical management.

His love of God was evident as he served as youth pastor, Sunday school teacher and superintendent at Leavell Woods and Lakeshore churches. He was also instrumental in founding Restoration Church now called the Way Church. His faithfulness towards God was seen in his profound love which allowed him to impact the lives of many people both young and old. His pastimes included fishing, gardening and going to Hartfield Academy basketball games where he loved to coach from the side lines.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, DiAnn Whyte Ingram; his daughter, Jennifer Ingram Heindl and her husband Michael; his two sons, Benton Ingram and his wife Nycole; and Carlton Ingram; the loves of his life, seven grandchildren, Taryn, Eli, Harrison, Gabbie, Nicholas, Ruel and Ava Grace; and his great grandson, Jayson. He is also survived by one brother, James Ingram and his wife Sandra and many other family members.

Harold's youthful spirit and infectious smile will be greatly missed but we rejoice knowing he is with his greatest love, Jesus Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Hartfield Academy 1240 Luckney Road, Flowood, MS 39232.

I met Harold when I worked for EDS in the Trustmark building from 1978 through 1986. I remember the love he had for his wife and children and that he pursued righteousness and lived a life that showed fruit. I rejoice for him and I will continue to pray for his family. May God bless them and give them comfort and peace until they are reunited in heaven.

Harold and I were in high school together in Jackson. We shared some classes and were often in the same gym classes where we played basketball, sometimes on the same and sometimes on opposing teams. We re-connected in 2017 at Provine High School's 50th reunion and he remembered the basketball games fondly.
We exchanged emails at intervals after 2017 and I always enjoyed hearing from him. He was a good man who will be missed by all who knew him. My condolences to his family.
Rest in peace with Christ, Harold.

Harold always had a smile on his face and was full of wit and humor. He was a ray of sunshine in my life. I'll always remember the summers spent roaming the streets of south Jackson and our days at the Neshoba County Fair. His spirit cheered me when I was sad and he lifted me when I was down. I can see you now sitting at the feet of Jesus.
