Claudia and Vanessa - At this time remember that memories are the legacy of love and we are sure you have many happy memories of your father (and your mother). We, too, have a lifetime of memories of your father and so we extend our deepest sympathy to you both and your families at this sad time.

To the Family
My profound condolences to each of you. His passing is a true loss.

I met Ev when he and Gail came to SUNY (Buffalo). From Ohio State. I was an Instructor at the time. I remember that his students loved him. I also recall how friendly he was to me.

When you all moved to Cleveland, I was teaching part time at Cleveland State and encouraged my colleagues to hire him, but he didn't need any third party to speak on his befall. The faculty were very impressed with him and hired him as Chairman of the Department.

The last time I saw him was the day of his birthday, when you brought him to the Art Museum. As always, he was smiling.

May his soul Rest In Peace
Marty Plax
