Opa was truly a visionary, a creator, and an artist, both in hobby and vocation. He could see what was not and make it so. A master of working with wood, a dreamer who had ambition. A father, a son, a husband, a brother, an Onkel, a nephew, an Opa, a friend. The head of Mount Rushnomore. He was loved and so not lost; he will be remembered by many and celebrated by the same - even across continents.

I only met Mr. Lejeune at Holy Family. I would visit with him as one of the pastoral care team members. What I remember about Mr. Lejeune is his love of God and His faith. He never missed Mass services when we were able to have them before Covid restrictions. How he loved to attend Rosary and Mass and receive Holy Communion when able. Mr. Lejeune is one class act, very gentle, never ornery, always a gentleman. It was a privilege to know him and his wife Mrs. Lejeune (Martha). May God Bless Fred who is enjoying his heavenly reunion with his family and may God Bless Martha (Mrs. Lejeune) who faithfully visited him at Holy Family. Yes it was a privilege to get to know 2 people who are a Class Act. Thank you both, with sincerest condolences, Sister Jo Ann Poplar

Uncle Ziggy, I have so many good memories over the years. If I had to pick one it would be your smiling face on that red tractor driving up the hill in Leesville while pulling a wagon full of shouting happy kids. Youve always been supportive and helpful to me that I cant thank you enough. Love you and will miss you. Hope you and Mom are having a fabulous reunion. Virtual Hugs to Your Family.

Siegfried; some called you Fred others called you Siggi or Zig. Yet all met a kind-hearted and modest man. You and mom spent 41 years together and I'm grateful that you both were able to carve out a new life for yourselves. You were a craftsmen - one could say an artist - when it came to working with wood. Our daughter Tess received lovingly handmade gifts made out of wood as a child crafted by Opa that remain heirlooms living on. After the recent suffering you endured, your moving on can be considered a blessing. We are very grateful for the heartfelt care you received from the entire staff at Holy Family Home.
