passed away May 28, 2021 at the Renaissance Assisted Living Facility, in Stanardsville, VA. Helen was 94 at the time of her death. Born in Avella, PA in 1927, Helen and her family moved to Cleveland Ohio after she completed elementary school. She graduated from Collinwood High School, which was where she met her husband, George R. Joca. They married shortly after he returned from a deployment overseas with the US Army, and made their home in Cleveland. After the death of her daughter, Rozann Mance, Helen moved to Culpeper, Va in 2018 to live with her son, George Jr and his wife Kim. Helen was an assistant teacher at Collinwood High School and several elementary schools in the Cleveland area. She enjoyed working with children and providing assistance to anyone in need. She took care of her daughter for over 30 years after she had been diagnosed with MS. Helen also enjoyed helping with the Slovenian Home fish fry events, and assisted with many different church groups and fundraisers. Helen A. Joca is survived by her son George R. Joca Jr (Kim), grandson Chad Mance, granddaughters Amanda Percival (Steve) and Kathryn Williams, great granddaughters Alex Mance and Maggie Mance, great grandson Danny Williams Jr, and great great granddaughter Ella, as well as many loving relatives throughout the Country. Helen was an amazing and giving woman, who will live in the hearts of all who knew her forever. A gravesite service will be planned in the future.

I was just telling my husband that I should contact Helen to let her know that her niece, my sister, Kathleen Curtis, passed away on May 15th, 2021, on Hospice.
Helen was such a gracious and lovely woman. We only saw her when we lived in Ohio, but we enjoyed her company very much. She was beautiful and giving and generous of herself. She was everything that I could ever wish to be.
