I remember Matt well from high school and into my young adult life. He was such a happy soul! He made me laugh and knew how to cheer people up. Can’t believe he is gone so soon. I pray God surrounds his family during this time.

By virtue of alphabetic proximity, Matt had the locker next to mine and the seat in front of me in homeroom every year at Hudson High. Matt was able to make me laugh before 7:30 am most days (impressive as I was not a morning person) and I am grateful to have known him - will remember his smile and his ebullient, friendly and kind personality.

Dear Matt, we met at my first job i’ve ever had, i had started at Black Angus in 2015 when i was just 18 yrs young and met you not too long after i had already started. You were a new face to all of us there at the restaurant but you had became a close friend to me ever since. You also helped me find another job after finally leaving Black Angus after 3 & 1/2 years.. We were able to not only work together at Black Angus, but at Orlando Forum too where you took me out of my comfort zone and i met some of the greatest people because of you and experienced so many things during that time that i will never forget, because of you! We always talked every once ina while when ever we had time to do so and nothing but positive things were said between us. You were one of the most sweetest human beings i’ve ever met and the last time we had talked i had found out you were no longer working due to circumstances with your health. I never thought this day would come so soon... You were so very young to had dealt with what you went thru. I sure did lose such an awesome friend, you will NEVER be forgotten, Matt. I love you buddy, we will see each other again some day. Fly high and don’t forget to watch over all of us. You’d be SO proud of me and my profession i’ve gotten into, tomorrow starts my second day as a Bartender, as we always talked about, that was something i always wanted to do and i finally found one of the greatest opportunities yet. I thank YOU because i feel like maybe you were there with me on that day of my interview (Jan 13th) ❤ If it wasn’t for you, i wouldn’t be here doing what i love. Thank you for everything you taught me, and most importantly, thank you for always being someone i could talk to and someone who didn’t judge me. You will truly be missed, my friend. Love you so much. ❤

This is a hard one. Matt was an amazing person! He came from an amazing family with good hearts. It’s been a good while since I saw him last, still I guarantee we’d pick up where we left off. I’m grateful for the time I had knowing him. I’m done losing friends. I’m beyond sorry for your loss.

Matt, your aura lit up every room you ever entered! I am so blessed to have had the chance to work with and know you.

You will live on through me as your personality has forever been embedded into my soul.

I’m full of sorrow coming to terms with the fact you aren’t in this realm any longer and I hope you family finds peace during this difficult time.

I love you! I know you are making as much of an impression in whatever life comes after this as you have during your time here.

You have been taken too soon.
Rest In Peace my friend. ♥♥

Matt holds a special place in my heart . We've spent countless stressful hours together and he was always laughing, smiling, and genuinely caring about the people around him. This one hit me especially hard, even after the dreaded 2020. Rest easy, old friend.

Extremely sad news, condolences to the family. I remember playing football with Matt at Hudson. The thing I most appreciated about him was he was a talker, loved to talk, talk about anything.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Matt’s passing. Matt and I became friends while in middle school in Hudson. We kept in touch off and on, and I am grateful to Facebook for reuniting us again. When I was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy he reached out to me on messenger and even called me, though I wasn’t able to answer because I was busy with the kids at the time. I wish I would’ve called him back. My mom brain took over and I simply forgot. Life is short. Reach out to the people you care about before it’s too late. He is gone way too soon. “Luv ya” Matt. RIP, my friend. O-H! ❤

Matt was not only my manager at the Medina longhorn steakhouse, but he became one of our good friends. We had so many laughs over the years, and randomly would catch up over FB once he moved to Florida. So sad to hear of his passing, too young to leave, and too many jokes to make. He will be missed. I am a stranger to your family but was struck by Matthew's obituary. Matthew's Hope looks like a wonderful example of the Christ-like person you lost. I'm sure his works will continue to touch others . Praying for all of you.
