77, of North Ridgeville, passed away on February 11, 2021. Paul and Marilyn, his loving wife of 33 years, were on a bucket list trip to Florida in their brand new, used motor home. Paul enjoyed a successful career in sales that spanned 58 years where he was a mentor to many. He was a lover of golf and time on the water in any sort of boat. Paul's infectious sense of humor and unique way of viewing the world left all who knew him smiling. He had a beautiful singing voice and could be found performing karaoke as recently as 2 days prior to his death. Paul was larger than life and has left an unimaginable void in all our hearts. He is survived by a family who adored him: beloved wife Marilyn Weske; daughters Christine Cantlay (Doug), Jill VanDerveer (Rick), Liz Jansen (Dave); stepdaughters Kirsten Fawcett-Dubow (Terry), Megan Fawcett (Ryan); his 10 grandchildren: Ted, Meg, Cate, Jill, Paul, Sam, Gus, Ed, Maddie and Lily; and his dear nephews, Dave and Rob. He is also missed by many coworkers and friends who loved and revered him. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Paul's memory be made to The Greater Cleveland Food Bank or The Jillian Fund (https://thejillianfund.org/).

Marilyn,
We were so very sorry to hear of Paul’s death. He was such a nice guy. John remembers flying model airplanes with him in the village.
You and your family are in our prayers.

Paul was a childhood friend of mine who lived on Parker Dr. in Mayfield Hts. We had a lot of fun together playing street games like baseball, football, and basketball, and a lot more. His passing brought back a lot of found memories of our young childhood. Their were a lot of close friends who lived on Parker Dr. and we all had a lot of great fun together. So sorry to hear about his passing.

Carole and I extend our sympathies to Marilyn and Paul’s family. We were classmates and friends at Mayfield (Class of 1961). Paul and I enjoyed many good times. Many years later and after we had moved to California, Paul called and visited us when out on a business trip. Great guy! He will be missed.

Paul was a great friend for over fifty years. We worked together for many years at Royal. Whenever Paul’s travels came to the Philadelphia area, we would try to get together for golf or a drink. Marilyn, my deepest condolences go out to you and the entire Youngberg family. Paul will be deeply missed.
Rest In Peace My Friend,

I am so sorry for your loss. Paul was a true gentleman with a great outlook on life. I enjoyed seeing him at Firestone whenever he visited. One of my favorite memories was the first year I met him, I received a call around Thanksgiving from Paul that he wanted to provide the staff with lunch to thank them for their friendship and service through the season. We gathered 10 of us and on that day, up pulled an RV right to the steps of the Golfshop. Paul was preparing an entire Thanksgiving meal inside the RV complete with stuffing, pie, and even a little wine for us all! It became a highlight for the staff every year after. He will certainly be missed. We take wonderful memories from our time with him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

What a kind, supportive person, Paul was. He and Marilyn took the time to attend my Holocaust presentation at the Maltz Museum. Paul was always empathetic and open-minded. His support was much appreciated and he will be missed by many.

Paul was a very good friend and supportive person to know. I particularly appreciated his input when he, myself, and some other men set up a mens' support group. That concept has been part of my life all of these years. I also recall spending some nice times with Paul on his boat. My thoughts are with Marylin and her family in the days ahead.

I was introduced to Paul in 1986 when he was working on his boat in dry dock at Mentor Lagoons Marina. I told him I was looking to quit being an IBM Selectric repairman. Within weeks, thanks to Paul, I was hired by Panasonic as a District Sales Manager for all of Ohio. Best employee job in my life! Thanks Paul! My condolences to the family.

I had a business relationship with Paul for nearly 15 years, and enjoyed every minute of it! Paul was as easy going and as straightforward as they make them. My heart goes out to his family, but I know you'll have a lot of great memories & stories about Paul to keep you smiling......

About 5 years ago, Paul found out I was in the market for a motor home. Paul reached out to me to tell me he was moving and that he would like for me to have their motor home for pennies. In return he asked if he could borrow it once or twice a year. Only one kind of person would do that...Paul. His honorable award stands tall and proud in the business brotherhood community.

Every meeting with Paul was memorable. I never knew anyone that loved golf more than he did. I met up with Paul once in Ohio to play golf. It was raining but we played anyway. By the third hole we were soaked. Paul kept saying it wasn't that bad. After nine holes the water in the fairways was over our shoes and we had to use 4" tees to hit the ball or it would be under water. On the 11th hole the grounds keeper stopped us and said they closed the course and we had to stop playing because there was a thunder and lightening storm coming. Paul looked at him and said, "really, it isn't that bad." I will miss him forever. My sincere condolences to his family.

To Marylin and the entire family. I just want to say how sorry we are for your loss. While I never got to meet you. I feel like I knew all of you from my hours of time spent in a golf cart with Paul. What wonderful, kind, caring, thoughtful person Paul was. He will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. My family and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
