I worked with the Classens physicians and Roger Classen while a medical student in the early 1980's. I was in awe of his surgical abilities Because of his strong DO mentorship, I went on to specialize in Neurology, Neuro-oncology and Sleep disorders. Roger Classen, DO was an intelligent man, a physician who loved his patients and a man who was always a class act. May his candle burn brightly! GOD BLESS YOU & YOUR FAMILY during their period of grieving.

My deepest sympathy is extended the Roger Classen family. Dr. Roger was program director throughout my general surgery training at Brentwood Hospital. We shared many experiences, laughs, good times, and heart breaks throughout those years. He was a genuinely caring person, dedicated to his patients and to the success of his surgical residents. I owe much to his nurturing me as a young surgeon. He taught me how to be more than a physician/surgeon. Commitment to leadership enabled him to carry on a family legacy in the footsteps of his father, Dr. Theodore Classen. I will miss my mentor, but cherish his memory and the time we shared together.

Roger healed many people during his time as a physician. May his prayers from Heaven heal even more. Our prayers and love to Debra, Travis, Tegan, Tiffany and their families. May God comfort them in their sorrow and remind them of the joy and beauty of life in all its seasons.
