79, retired Wickliffe school teacher, loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to everyone passed away peacefully of natural causes in his home on February 17, 2021. Ron was born on June 3, 1941, in Cleveland to Dorothy (Whitehead) Srail and George Srail. He graduated from Brush High School in Lyndhurst and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in teaching and education from Miami University. Afterwards, he earned a master's in teaching and education at Cleveland State University. For 33 years within the classroom walls at Worden Elementary, Ron strived to make learning enjoyable for his students and strongly believed every student has something positive, special, and unique to contribute to this world. Outside of the classroom, Ron was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, the late Ruth (Hammer) Srail, and an active and present father to his daughters. In 2002, Ron relocated to Brunswick, Ohio where he enjoyed playing golf and cards with his community of friends. Soon after, he became a grandfather to Ava and Luke, to which he took with much delight. Ron is survived by his two daughters, Tracie Staebler and Elizabeth Srail, son-in-law Brian Staebler, two grandchildren, Ava and Luke, and 13 nieces and nephews. A celebration of Ron's life will occur at a later date when it is safer for extended family, friends, and the community to come together to celebrate Ron and share stories. A date and place have not been determined.
