(nee Schumacher) age 94, beloved wife of Arthur "Buddy"; loving mother of Craig (Patricia), Gary (Therese) and Brian (Pamela); grandmother of Kristen, Mallory Reinking (Megan), Laura Setter (Ryan), Lisa and Brian Phillip; great-grandmother of Theodore; sister of Dolores O'Connell and the late Helen, Raymond, Hubert, Frank, Art, Eleanor, Albert, James, Joan and Jerry; aunt and great-aunt to many; loving friend of Julie Pistone, Marge Gluvna and many others. A vocalist for most of her life, Ruth performed with Buddy at Axel and Harry's and The Crews Nest at Put-in-Bay. Most recently she was the female vocalist with the Cleveland T-O-P-S Swing Band. She worked as a secretary and librarian and was a Eucharistic minister and sacristan. She was on the board of the Put-in-Bay Historical Society, a junior board member of Fairview Hospital and a former President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Put-in-Bay Yacht Club. Funeral Mass Monday, August 3, 2020 at 11 a.m. at St. Raphael Church, 525 Dover Center Rd. where COVID precautions will be observed. Mass will also be live streamed, please contact the funeral home for a link. Private interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Put-in-Bay, OH. Memorials to St. Stephen Parish, 1930 W. 54th St. Cleveland, OH 44102. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.

Aunt Ruth was wonderful person who lived life to the fullest. She was loved by all who new her. There will be an empty place in my heart now that she is in heaven. Ruth was so vivacious and a marvelous singer. It was wonderful to be able to hang out with Ruth, Buddy, the Pistones and all of our DiLauro family. I wish I could visit Bud right now, sent a card from us at Foxs Den, sending hugs and prayers for you all♥♥
