Faithful, dedicated, prolife servant! Well done Shirley.

Dear Soltes & Vacko families:

So sorry to hear about Shirley. I met her father Harry at a Wacko (originally Vacho) family reunion in 1999 and he was very nice. I met one of Harry's daughters there also. I do not think it was Shirley. My grandmother was Catherine Wacko Sexton and Harry was her nephew. My father, now deceased, was William J. Sexton. He was the youngest of Catherine Sexton's 4 children.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

William R. Sexton

The pro-life movement in metropolitan Cleveland just lost one of its stalwart activists. Dear God, who can match Shirley's years of humble work for the pro-life movement? From essay contest, to thrift store, to interminable board meetings, Shirley did her work with grace and often a lot of humor. Joan and I will treasure the memories of helping her in all of her projects.

All I can think of now is the boundless praise which Shirley (whose primary virtue was humility) is now receiving as her reward for decades of pro-life work. Imagine Jesus Himself saying to our beloved Shirley as He welcomes her into a heaven populated with the babies whose lives she treasured, Well done, good and faithful servant.
