My deepest condolences to your family during this most difficult time. There are no words that can ease the pain of losing someone so beloved. May you find comfort and peace in knowing that your loved one is in God's memory, because those who pass on are precious in his eyes. Psalms 116:15

I had the honor of serving with Mr. Rocker on the first elected Board of Education in Liberty County. Making the transition from an appointed board to an elected board during an unprecedented growth in student enrollment had its challenges. I found him to be a very fair man blessed with great leadership qualities. The public may not know it was his idea to name Liberty County High after Liberty County. He felt strongly one school in the county should have the county's name. He also weathered the political storm of dividing the high school (football) population. The Board voted to support him and these recommendations. Many of the leadership tools I use as the Chairman of the Liberty County Board of Commissioners I attribute to working under Barney Rocker's leadership. Liberty County owes a great debt of gratitude to his service. Rest in peace my mentor, father figure and friend.

Mr. Barney was a precious part of Cedar Plantation, and a joy to visit with when we would go to visit our Mom - Ms. Ora. His mischievous grin and the twinkle in his eye will surely be missed by all, as well as his "Hush your mouth!" when asked if he wanted a Pepsi!

I would like to offer condolences and prayers for this family during this sad time. Mr. Rocker was one of the finest men that I have known. He was one of my favorite people during the years at First Baptist in Hinesville. Rest easy Mr. Rocker. Your work on earth is done.

Mr. Rocker was one of the nicest men I have ever met. Having worked at The Heritage Bank for many years he became a good friend the moment I met him. I will forever remember his warm smile and friendly face. Heaven has truly gained an angel.

Mr. Barney was a very special man to me and my family. I have had the pleasure of knowing him since I was a little girl at FBC. Even when we went to visit him at Cedar and he did not recognize us anymore, he still had the same sense of humor, loved to pick with people and had a twinkle in his eye like he was up to no good. I miss getting to see him at work. He would love that we have cookies in the lobby now. (He loved his sweets.) He was so very devoted and loved Mrs. Bonelle so very much. I am so glad they are back together in heaven today. Lamar & Dwayne, I am so very sorry for your loss. He will definitely be missed. Your father was a fine example of a great man and a great Christian. He will never be forgotten by our family. The Wasdin Family
