Inez C. Simmons, 96, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. She was a native and lifelong resident of Liberty County, GA, and lifelong member of First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Hinesville, GA. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Jack and Rosa Carter, and her brother, J.C. Carter, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her three children: Jimmy (Claudia) of Downingtown, PA, Alphonso (Sandee) of Columbus, Ohio, and Deloris Slay of Riceboro, GA. Her sister Gracie (Retired Sgt. Joseph Scott) of Hinesville, GA, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grandnieces & nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. at Dorchester Funeral Home,7842 E. Oglethorpe Hwy, Midway, GA 31320. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, 11 a.m., at First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 124 Rebecca St., Hinesville, GA, 31313, with the Rev. Dr. Sinclair L. Thorne officiating and delivering the eulogy. Interment following service at Simmons Cemetery, Lewis Frazier Road, Midway, GA.
