Jale' was an excellent French teacher and a very kind person. She welcomed me into her class even though, at first, I was not enrolled.

I was sad to hear of Mrs Hansen's passing. She was an excellent French teacher at Hudson's Bay, preparing me well for college French courses. She was also a friend. She was also one of the few teachers in high school I felt I could talk to about anything. I loved seeing her at our high school reunions throughout the years. Always she would embrace me and we could sit right down and start talking, picking up our lives from the point of the last reunion. My condolences to Leonard and his family as well as Sevil.

Leonard and family, Mrs. Hansen was an inspiration to me. She prompted my further study of French, led me to consider travel abroad, plus gave me an example of a teacher's influence. She was both demanding and caring. I learned more in her classes than any others in high school. Her view of the world even brought me to visit Istanbul while living in France. I had planned to meet her there that summer,(didn't quite work out), but my time in Istanbul remains a most amazing cultural experience in my life. She also was an influence when I later chose a career in language education.
My condolences to you as you mourn the loss of Jale'. Rest assured that her influence has had a profound effect on so many of us who were her students. She made a difference in our lives.

Mrs Hansen was my very tough English teacher and I adored her. She came to our plays and stayed to congratulate us afterwards. She came to our 40th reunion and remembered us all. Rest in peace Mrs. Hansen. My condolences to the family.

Jale and my mother Muriel Fowler (who passed in 2011) were great friends and I know Mother welcomed her to the next life with open arms. My deep sympathy to those in her family who are left behind.
