JAMES ANTHONY VARGO
May 3, 1923 ~ February 28, 2011
James Anthony Vargo, 87, passed away in Vancouver, WA from natural causes. He was born in Mt. Pleasant, MI to Michael and Bertha, the seventh child of seven. His siblings were: John, Joseph, Stephen, Veronica, Bertha and Ethel.
Jim was married to Rose Catharine Rella (deceased) for 63 years and had six children: Rosemary Orrico, James Vargo, Jean Kudell, Bernadette Senter, Michael Vargo, and John Vargo. In addition they had 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Jim and Rose lived in New Jersey and moved to California in 1957. They later lived in Oregon and Florida, prior to settling in Vancouver, WA in 2000.
They were members of Our Lady of Lourdes parish. Jim and Rose benefited from the friendships and kindness of parishioners.
Jim was our loving father, grandfather and friend.
We will never forget his all abiding love for our mother, his laughter, his love of family and his life's work as a carpenter, builder and contractor and his deep faith.
The funeral will be held on Sat., March 5th, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Our Lady of Lourdes School, 4701 NW Franklin Street, Vancouver, WA 98663.

To the Vargo Family: We are sorry for the loss of Great Uncle Jim - we loved him very much and I was glad I had a chance to see him last year. He has now joined Aunt Rose in heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
