November 30, 1943 ˜ June 15, 2020

In loving memory of Michael ”Mike” Slaughter who passed away on June 15th, 2020. He was born in Tacoma, WA to Kenneth and Kathryn Slaughter on Nov. 30, 1943. He grew up in Portland, OR until they moved to Vancouver, where he graduated from Hudson’s Bay High School, and went on to Portland U.
Mike married Linda Onslow in ’64. They had 2 beautiful daughters that he loved dearly. They lived in Medford, Portland, and in Baker, where he purchased a 5 state wrecking yard.
Mike loved to drive. He was a Destruction Derby/Stock car driver at Jantzen Beach and a long haul trucker. He was good natured and everybody loved Mike.
Later after he moved back to Portland, he remarried to Dorothy Dean. In time, she alienated him from his entire family for unknown reasons. So he was never able to interact with his grand and great-grandchildren, or any family member. They moved to Puyallup where he died.
Mike is survived by his 2 daughters, Angela MacPhee and Chely Robbins; also a brother, Wayne; and sisters, Linda Haderli and Julie Goldsmith; 4 grandchildren; 2+ great-grandchildren; also his 2nd wife, Dorothy and her family: Johnnie, Jackie, Jeri and Elizabeth and their children.
His family will always wish they could have seen him again before he died.

My condolences to Angela and the entire family. I attended Clark College with Angela and was saddened to hear of her fathers passing.
