We truly lost a great man. He was my English teacher in high school. He made English fun, actually. I remember Keith Klein trying to argue with him, he said "Yeah but..." and Mr. Hyatt would respond, "Yeah but was an old friend of mine" lol. Up until his passing I'd run into him from time to time and he'd remember me! Awesome guy. My most sincere condolences to his family and friends. May he RIP

So sad to hear of the loss of Mr. Hyatt. He actually made English class interesting. I can still diagram a sentence, 34 years later! Condolences to the Hyatt family and RHS.

We learned about moles, raccoons and playing cards from this gentle soul. We loved being neighbors and friends with him and Phyllis. Good bye to a wonderful person. We miss you!

In 1979 I choose Mr Hyatt as my confirmation sponsor. He accepted. I still have the Bible he and his wife gave me. He used to keep a dried up rutabaga in his desk at school. Is the rutabaga still around?
