Mr. Cahill was one of my home room, and favorite teachers. I haven't seen him for around 60 years, but he's missed! I'm glad I knew him!

I remember how much fun it was to dress as toy soldiers, marching in the Memphis Christmas Parade down Main Street in the winter of 1963. And all those football games and half-time performances on the field! I remember once when I was about sixteen, confiding to him that I feared growing old. "But we will always have music!" he said kindly. He was such a positive influence on so many young people.

Prayers for all of the family. We ran into Mr. Cahill and Cecila and Paul at the 4th of July fireworks in Bartlett. So moving to see Mr. Cahill stand for the Navy anthem. A life well lived, RIP Mr. Cahill.
