Jim is one of my life's unforgettable characters. We shared so much -- love of classical piano music, prayer and liturgy, interest in sign language. Jim faced God, life and people directly, with honesty, compassion, and humor. I will miss you, Jim, but I am so glad that you are finally home!

Jim and I came to know each other when he volunteered at Joseph Leppert Catholic Worker in north Memphis and we remained friends after. Jim read at Margaret's and my wedding and delighted in meeting our children as each came into the world. We often went out together and everywhere we went we were regularly approached by friends who loved him and cherished his wisdom. God bless and keep you, dear friend and brother in Christ. Bob Hunt
