Nicholas Cauley Clark
Memphis, TN
Nicholas Cauley Clark, age 27, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017. Nick's kind and generous heart endeared him to everyone he met. Witty and charming, he never met a stranger. Nick had an abundance of friends both young and old whom he touched with his loving spirit.
A very talented musician, Nick was an extraordinary bass player. He was well-respected in the musical community for his guitar expertise and played in many local bands around the area. He was equally skilled on the piano, entertaining everyone with his soulful keyboard style. He was a devoted Widespread Panic fan who along with his friends and a community of other WP fans, attended many of their concerts throughout the country every year.
Working at both RP Tracks and Billiards, Nick found a niche that suited his energetic personality. He always greeted his co-workers and each work day with his personable, upbeat approach. He made the time at work all about serving up fun and engaging friends both old and new.
Nick graduated from St. Dominic School, attended Christian Brothers High School and graduated from Ridgeway High School. He also attended The University of Memphis.
Nick was preceded in death by his father, Paul Clark. He is survived by his mother, Charlotte Clark, sister Christina (Cannon) Morris, niece Marion Morris, nephews Hank and Graham Morris, aunts Renee Guibao, Gina Viglietti (Dr. John Slate), Michelle Viglietti and numerous cousins. He also leaves behind his devoted dogs Dylyla and Wrangler. He was deeply loved by his family and friends. The loss of such a beloved young man is beyond measure and he will be forever missed.
A celebration of life for Nick will be Saturday January 21 from 10 a.m.-12 noon with memorial service to follow at 12 noon, at Canale Funeral Directors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Therese Catholic Church or Little Flower Catholic School on Jackson Ave.

I will always reminder our time together growing up. You were a great cousin and an even better friend. I know you are watching us from above, eating Mama Angie's ravioli and playing your bass. I will always be thankful you were able to play your music for me at my wedding. We miss you so much already Nick.

All it took was one mention to Nick that I love the song "Storms" by Fleetwood Mac and then he spent days learning how to play it perfectly on his guitar just so I could sing it. He never seemed to get tired or bored of playing Storms for me, even if I wanted to sing it 10 times in a row. He always just smiled and strummed and appeared to love it just as much as I do. This is just one of many examples of his beautiful, beaming, kind, generous, and supportive soul. I love you Nick.
