Rufus Ray Cowsert

Rufus Ray Cowsert, 82, went to be with the Lord on July 9, 2017. He was a retired Dispatcher for Yellow Freight for 46 1/2 years and an Army Veteran. Mr. Cowsert also was a member of Kirby Woods Baptist Church and a volunteer at St. Francis - Park. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ada Cowsert; daughter, Janice Stahl (Paul); and son, David Cowsert (Julie). Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 13 at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, East. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 14 at Kirby Woods Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be sent to the church.

We love and adore Mrs. Ada, she volunteers at Methodist Germantown in the education of infants with Mrs. Cathy, who has gone to Africa on a mission, and will not be with us during this difficult time. Our Volunteer staff wants to give there heartfelt feelings of appreciation and condolences at this time. Mrs Ada we love you.
