Theodore Ralph Shuler

Born December 8, 1930 Died January 24, 2017
The son of Ralph Eugene Shuler and Florence Cole Shuler, he graduated from Tech High School where he was an All City and All State football player. He attended Georgia Tech on a football scholarship and graduated as a 2nd Lt in the Air Force and after active duty went on to serve in the Air Force Reserves for 16 years retiring as a Major. He was President of Shuler Distributing Company which he ran with his children and also served as President of the National Association of Floor Covering Distributors. He was preceded in death by his daughter Terry Quertermous and son Tom Shuler. He leaves his wife of 66 years Martha Ivins Shuler, son Ted Shuler Jr and daughter Trudy Zurhellen as well as 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was an avid golfer and was listed in the Guinness Book of World records for 8 years for his worldwide collection of full bottles of beer which numbered over 10,000. In place of flowers the family requests donations be made to Alzheimer's Research or The American Cancer Society. Visitation will be at 10 AM and services at 11 AM at Germantown Presbyterian Church on Saturday January 28, 2017.
